Because this pool is so shallow we needed to weld the rebar to the heilical piers to ensure against frost heaving.
On top of each of the piers we poured a footing.
Becuse the site was all clean fill sand, and becuase we needed to have the concrete encapsulate the top of the piers we poured each as its own "sub-footing." We then backfilled up to the bottom of the soon to be poured floor.
Although it is hard to see at this stage, the walls on both sides have a gentle curve to them.
It's fun to look back and new things you have done but laying out the curved walls was a new challenge for us.
As the finished pool goes from 0" to 24" this is definately the shortest corral we have built.
