A day or two before plastering we acid wash the pool. This gives the plaster a clean well etched surface to grab on to.
While this is one of the most rewarding steps in the process because it looks so good when done, it is also one of the hardest days, because of how long it takes.
Even with eight guys it ends up being a 10 to 12 hour day. And there is just no getting around the fact that an 80 pound bag of plaster is heavy.
Especially the 63rd one!
Now we just need to fill it up and start the cleaning balancing process.
Cleaning?? Yes, on a new construction site there is alway stuff (a lot of dirt) that blows into the pool.
Although the water is clear you can definately see dirt in the bottom of the pool. It is nearly impossable to keep a pool clean until the sod is laid down. :-(
